چکیده
48 hr. In 14 anemic patients with lymphomaor leukemia and in 12 anemic patients with solid tumors, the erythropoietic effect of plasma was significantly reduced compared to 12 normal plasmas but was increased compared to 0.9% NaCl solution controls (p < 0.001). In contrast, the erythropoietic effect of plasma in 8 nonanemic patients (4 lymphomas or leukemias and 4 solid tumors) was similar to normal controls but was significantly different from results in their anemic counterparts (p < 0.001 ).

Circulating microRNAs have been recognized as promising biomarkers for the detection of lung cancer. The objective of this study was to evaluate miR-10b, miR-1 and, miR-30a in the plasma samples of lung cancer patients to confirm any possible relevance in the early detection of lung cancer. Plasma samples from 47 non-small-cell lung cancer patients and 41 cancer-free subjects were evaluated for...
متن کاملAssessing the Diagnostic Value of Plasma-Free DNA in Prostate Cancer Screening
Background: Prostate cancer is the second form of cancer among men worldwide. For early cancer detection, we should identify tumors in initial stages before the physical signs become visible. The present study aims to evaluate the diagnostic value of cell-free DNA (cfDNA), its comparison with prostate-specific antigen (PSA) level in prostate cancer screening and also in patients with localized ...

BACKGROUND The objectives of the present study were to evaluate hemoglobin levels and consequent clinical behaviors related to anemia developed in patients affected by locally advanced cervical cancer treated with neo-adjuvant chemotherapy in the last decade and to evaluate the impact that the introduction of erythropoietic growth factors had in the clinical practice. PATIENTS AND METHODS Blo...
متن کاملThe Prognostic Value of Serine and Glycine Levels in Plasma in Patients with Esophageal Cancer: A Case Control Study
Background and Objective: Serine and glycine are connecting lines for biosynthesis and are essential resources for synthesis of proteins, nucleic acids and lipids that are necessary for cancer cell growth. The purpose of this study was to set a comparison of serine and glycine in patients with esophageal cancer and in healthy people. Materials and Methods: 37 plasma samples were collected from...
متن کاملEvaluation of matrix metalloproteinases 1 and 13 in the patients with breast cancer and their association with the clinical features
Background: Metalloproteinase enzymes can lead to the digestion of the extracellular matrix and its compounds and ultimately facilitate the metastasis of cancer cells to other tissues. This study aimed to evaluate the activity of matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) 1 and 13 in the tissue and plasma samples of the patients with breast cancer and their relationship with clinical features of the dise...
